A week in review

Things were pretty crazy leading up to xmas. Work was completely over the top, and in fact, kept me from getting to some holiday stuff (there are some folks who will be getting New Years gifts this year). That said I am lucky enough to work someplace that closes between Christmas and New Years, leaving me with some totally free time to catch up on life.
Rather than doing a year in review, as is common this time of year, I'll just give you a rundown of the past week...
* Survived holidays with little to no drama
* Spend some very relaxing quality time with family and friends
* Saw Avatar (visually stunning, but I found the story a bit flat)
* Saw Sherlock Holmes....(Oh RDJ you had me at shirtless boxing scene)
* Visited the Peabody Essex museum for a little maritime culture
* Went to a fantastic cocktail bar with friends (post to come)
* Started knitting wedding flowers (2 done, halfway through a third, they will still need to be felted to see if this plan will truly work)
* Took some time off from posting blogs
* Purchased some exciting new spices (likely post to come)
* Visited a store specializing in British food, made some fun purchases there too.
* Attempted some home improvements, back to the drawing board on those.
* Caught up on reading (I can now see over the pile of books on my nightstand)
* Caught up on sleep
* And for tonight, will be having a very low key luau with The Goog.
I'm feeling recharged and ready to once more unto the breach....but seriously...not till Monday when I absolutely have to.
