When I'm not working...

When I'm not working, I've been trying to make some headway in wedding planning. I've found that I tend to work on this in peaks and valleys, and after about 2 months of doing nothing, an invitation to the "food tasting" for the reception prodded me back into action.
In the last week or so The Goog and I have made good headway around booking a DJ (one who swears he will uphold my "do not play list" ie. No Chicken Dance!), getting the invitations ordered and assembled, and the most fun, wedding band shopping. The Goog will be going with a Tungsten band, while I will be having mine made to fit around the unique shape of my engagement (which is actually a vintage cocktail style ring rather than a more traditionally shaped engagement ring). For the rings we visited Bostonian Jewelers. They were knowledgeable and thought creatively about helping us make something that would work well with a vintage style ring while most importantly, staying within my budget. I have to admit, for me, this was a really fun process...like super high end crafting! I'm extremely excited to see the results!
Right now I have decided to try to be aggressicve about the pieces of planning that I can control, so that I have more time to devote to the moving parts (RSVP's) and such down the line.
