Knitting fail

As part of my wedding planning I have decided I want to make my own bridal bouquet out of felted flowers, felted, fall colored calla lilies actually.

I bought the yarn, picked a pattern and began.  I choose the Ccalla lily pattern available on Knitty.com....and I learned that it's not good for felting.  While what I ended up with looked like a lily...a huge floppy lily, the double layer nature of the patter was not good for felting.  Instead of ending up with a more firm felted flower, I ended up with something that looked like some kind of crazy muppet.  I would have a picture, but I was so annoyed with the whole thing (consequently, I was doing this on the same day the craft fair was rained out), that I chucked it in the trash.

Now, a bit more focused.  I have found another pattern, I actually spent money on this one, and as soon as it arrives I'll be ready to give it another try.  Fingers crossed.
