For years I have been intrigues by the look of entrelac knitting. The basket weave pattern looked so complex, yet done with a really pretty variegated yarn, the results can be stunning.
What is entrelac: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrelac
It's been on my list of things to learn, but I've been intimidated. Enter some lovely yarn variegated yarn I was given as a gift. I hemmed and hawed over what to do with it (as I often do), and finally decided that it was time to learn.
The process it's self in not hard, it doesn't really take much special knitting skill. What it does take is some well writtien directions and the ability to follow said directions.
After about 3 false starts, I finally go the hang of it, and you know what? It's kinda fun, and extremely gratifying to watch the pattern unfold.
Ta Da!
