Knit warp-Finally complete

I don't do much knitting for myself, but when I saw this delightful "Alpaca with a twist" orange yarn, I splurged and made a purchase, with the idea of making something for me....that was over a year ago. The yarn sat in my stash until I could come up with a worthy project.
As spring approaches (as does my fall wedding), my mind turned to cozy wraps. This yarn seemed well suited for a squishy lace patterned wrap. After combing through dozens of patterns I came across Susan Pierce Lawrence's "Feather Duster". While she suggests doing the pattern in lace weight, I saw no reason why my bulkier alpaca yarn wouldn't work equally well (and for me, better, since I don't love using lace weight yarn). The pattern yielded lovely results without being too fussy. In fact, for a lace pattern I found it quite forgiving.
I worked on and off on this over the winter, and finished about 2 weeks ago. Just in time to wear it out to brunch with the Goog!
Apologies for the mirror self portrait...but his was something that looked much better modeled. It is wrapped and them help in place with a pearl shawl pin.
