I don't listen to good advice

Yes, I was sick last week. Some accused me of being a horrible pig flu ridden plague beast. I don't believe it was that bad, I only missed one day of work to sleep it off, so it really can't be that bad. I did feel crappy at work the next two days and my fever returned early Friday. Some kind soul gave me good advice to head home, but I decided to eat teriyaki chicken and veggies instead and dose myself with 1/4 cup of chili garlic hot sauce. I'm happy to say my cure worked and I toughed out the rest of the day to become a productive human being over the weekend. Now what did I do with my super happy fun time weekend? Well, I didn't have super happy fun time, I put myself to work!
I made more progress on wiring my control panel, 95% ready to go, no new flashy pictures yet. The first brew will be in a few weeks after I finish modifying my fermentation fridge. It will be a glorious day, I guarantee it! Even it all goes awry, it will be a spectacular event. More details on that when the day comes. Still don't have that elusive house special planned, but it'll come to me eventually. I'm hoping to finish up the wiring an hour at a time during the night this week. I'll be sure to document fridge hotwire 2009.
I also spent a good amount of time playing flight sim and other such video games Saturday. But that's what you do on rainy days! And if you're me, you also get a hankering for delicious steak. You then decide that despite the continued rain and the rapidly approaching sunset, you must grill yourself what will become known as the "World's Greatest Steak and Cheese." Now, this is not really a traditional steak and cheese, hell the cheese isn't even melted. And I love me a good steak and cheese. So maybe I'm confusing the matter by labeling my sandwich a steak and cheese. No matter it was delicious and all you naysayers can line up and kiss my cheeks. No, the other ones. So, should I have a recipe section like Elise? Sure!
Crusty rolls (baker lady just put em out at Market Basket)
Flap steak(Flank, Sirloin or London Broil could also work)
Sharp as hell Danish Bleu Cheese (don't skimp out on those lesser pre-crumbled cheeses)
Avocado
Onions
Fire!
Salt, pepper, etc
That's it, season and grill that steak on hot coals to medium rare, cover with foil while you slice the onions and avocado and put a triple generous helping of bleu cheese on your roll. No, really, load that puppy up. No, that's not enough you sissy, MORE! Then add some thin sliced onions and 2 or 3 big hunks of avocado. Add a dab, no more of A-1 if the taste suits you. Then slice your steaming hunk of beef thin across the grain, pile it on and smile! You're eating delicious steak.
I put in a storm door Sunday, had to rebuild part of the frame. It was unusually tiring and made me want more steak. I also read some of the bazillion emails I get selling me things. One of them had a disturbing fact. The average American gains 10 lbs of fat between Thanksgiving and New Years. Now this dude was selling some fancy fitness plan, but he has a point. If I were to lose just 1 lb a week, which is pretty damn simple, I'd be so far ahead of the average Joe that I could rub it in their face. Now, he didn't say that, but that's a motivating thought.
