Guess what time of year it is? That's right, this Saturday, one of the best parties in all of the world(or so legend tells me) starts. It's Oktoberfest! What's so great about this? A reason to wear leather pants(lederhosen). Liter mugs of fresh delicious beer, roasted meats. Oh, yeah, and chicks in dirndls. Yeah, that last one is a good one! As you might expect, there's tons of drunken mishaps, great hilarity and just tons of folks having a great time. I really have to get off my ass and start saving my pennies and practicing my German vocabulary. The festivities are divided up into tents, each run by a brewery. Now these are tents in name only as they are really built up structures with stages and tables and wonders of barley inside. One of the tents has this fine feline guarding it.
A drinking, talking Lion, well you don't see that every day.
And there's great music! But of course, the band needs beer to play
Pay no heed to the drunken minstrel, fun abounds.
and not only do the girls wear dirndls, they can drink faster than you!
and jump rope better than you!
Some day I will get my lazy butt over there and eat giant pretzels while watching dirndl clad women drink beers as big as their heads. And then, I will be able to die happy
